The PDF versions of the Economic Census surveys are divided into two types based on your business, including:
- SU PDFs: If the Census Bureau has your business classified as a single unit (SU) business, you will only complete one survey.
- MU PDFs: If the Census Bureau has your business classified as a multi-unit (MU) business (operating at a number of locations), you will complete a survey for each location.
- The NC-99001 contains questions about the firm/company as a whole.
- If your survey has “(Consolidated)” in the Survey Title, then the survey is based on industry and multiple locations will be listed in Item 33A.
