Special Notice

Beginning with the fourth quarter 2008 QFR press release, scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2009, at 10:00 am eastern time, the QFR program will issue separate press releases for Retail Trade, and for the combined Manufacturing, Mining, and Wholesale Trade. This change is effective only for fourth quarter QFR press releases, since separate press releases for Retail Trade and for the combined Manufacturing, Mining, and Wholesale Trade already are issued for the first, second, and third quarters.

In addition, beginning with the first quarter 2009 QFR press releases, the press release for Retail Trade will be issued earlier, approximately one week after the press release for the combined Manufacturing, Mining, and Wholesale Trade. This change is effective only for first, second, and third quarter QFR press releases, since for the fourth quarter, QFR press releases for both Retail Trade and the combined Manufacturing, Mining, and Wholesale Trade will occur on the same day. The calendar year 2009 QFR press release schedule is as follows:

Internet Reporting

The web-based Quarterly Financial Report Survey is conducted through the Census Bureau's Census taker system.

The Census Taker requires:

  1. A web browser with 128-bit encryption (most browsers released since 1998 are sufficient).
  2. A username and password that is located on the form below the address label.
