22. What are the system requirements for electronic reporting?
To report using our electronic reporting software, you must use Microsoft Windows ©2000, XP or Vista . To report via the Internet, you must use Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or Netscape Navigator 7.0 or Fire Fox 1.5.0.7 or above (128-bit encryption). 23. Who can receive and file data via Internet?
You may submit your data using the reporting software via the Internet, or diskette. Click on Electronic Reporting to download forms and submit data electronically via the internet.

24. Where do I find the User ID and Password?
The User ID (uid) and Password (pw) are provided in the mailing label of the form. For previous electronic reporters, they are also predefined in the transmittal sheet we mailed to your company. Please see the Electronic Reporting page for more information.

25. How do I submit my responses?
Within the reporting software, go to Tools | Submit Responses and follow the onscreen instructions.

26. Are there ways to send the data other than the Internet?
Yes. You can send data back via diskette or CD-ROM. Copy the data to a diskette or CD-ROM and mail to the following address:

27. Can I print within the Form View?
Yes. Click on File | Print

28. Can I print from the Form Inbox?
When you select File | Print from the Form Inbox, the software will open your web browser to show a list of all the establishments listed in your Form Inbox. You may print from your browser.

29. How do I add or correct store numbers?
You may add or correct store numbers in the Inbox, Form or Workbook views within the Surveyor Software or in the exported spreadsheets from Surveyor.

30. How can I tab through questions?
Tabbing is only allowed between answer fields within a question. To move from one question to another, the user must click in the Navigation Panel or use the Next button.

31. In the Form View, how do I hide and/or view the Review Panel?
If you want to hide and/or view the Review Panel, click on View | Review Panel.

32. Are online electronic services secure?
Yes. The information transferred from your computer to our server is encrypted.

33. There is limited space in the Remarks section. What do I do?
If you run out of space, use the Business Help Site to send a secure email message containing the additional information. Include the UID for reference. Click on Contact Us | Secure Messaging Center.

34. Does the electronic software cost anything?
No. The software is provided to you at no charge.

35. Is there a way to find out the number of locations contained in Surveyor?
There is no tally of the number of prelisted locations displayed in Surveyor. The only way to find out the total is to count locations in the Inbox or to visit Online Services , and login using your User ID and Password, and select "Filing Status". Also, you may view the establishments in the Workbook view, to see the number of establishments by form type.

36. Is there a way to find out which forms were completed within the software?
Yes. There is a Status column in the Inbox view of Surveyor that lists status by location. The status of the form is either 'Not Started', 'In Progress', or 'Submitted'.

37. How do I Review Data for all forms?
In the Surveyor software, click on Tools|Review All Forms. Perform this task before submitting your data to the Census Bureau.

38. What data items must be completed in order to successfully submit a response?
The following must be completed on the MA-10000(S): Item 3 Operational status, Item 5 Total value of products shipped and other receipts, Item 7A - Total employment: first quarter production workers and first quarter other workers, and Item 7B - Total annual payroll before deductions (exclude fringe benefits cost)
The following must be completed on the MA-10000(L): Item 3 perational status, Item 5A Total value of products shipped and other receipts, Item 7A Total employment: average annual production workers and first quarter other workers, Item 7B Total annual payroll before deductions (exclude fringe benefits cost), and Item 7C Number of hours worked by production workers
